My Sunday Photo: Fire

I didn’t have a photo ready for My Sunday Photo today, until mum lit the fire. As soon as it started going, warming the house through, I knew it had to be shared!

It’s our first fire of the season. Lit on a lazy Sunday so we can all enjoy it.

There’s something really comforting about a real fire, and not just the warmth it produces. The glow and the roar makes me feel cosy, which is a welcome feeling as I’m down with some bug at the moment.

I also wanted to share this photo of TiLi warming her cockles after coming in from outside. I have no doubt she’ll be snuggled up next to the fire for much of winter. We did put her bed in front of it but she objected as she prefers a lap!

Do you have a real fire? Have you lit it yet? Or are you holding out until after Halloween?Photalife

Our dog used to do the same – curl up to get warm!

My mum has a fireplace as well, it can instantly put me to sleep especially when it’s dark and cold outside! x #MySundayPhoto

I feel cozy and warm just looking at your beautiful fire! We used to have a log burner in our old house and I really miss it. I love your little dog curled up too – they always get the best spot don’t they? #MySundayPhoto

Awww how cute with the little doggy in front of the fire. Isn’t a log fire just so cosy. Popping over from #MySundayPhoto
