Fortunately the cold only lasted a few days and I feel back to normal now. However, it did mean that I only used the exercise bike one the week before last, and not at all this week. I’m not beating myself up about it though, I’m wiping the slate clean and starting afresh this week.
I’ve stuck to my healthy breakfast of fruit, yoghurt & oats. I am a bit concerned what I’m going to do for breakfast in these colder months though. The berries I love are already out of season and not nice, so at the moment I’m having kiwi, pear, orange & banana. I know that many of you will suggest switching to porridge but I’m not a big fan of the texture of it, so I’m a bit stuck at the moment. Help?!
While we’re talking about diet, I’m also seriously thinking about going vegan. I’ll do a post specifically on that so I wont go into detail here, but naturally it will mean a big change in what I eat. I’m going to take it very slowly, and my first minor change is switching from milk to soya/almond/coconut milk. If any of you have yummy vegan recipes or great websites for vegans, hit me up! I’ve started a Pinterest board for vegan life too and would love to add to it.
Let’s take a moment here to check out the photo of me I’m using this week too; firstly, how happy do I look? Secondly, how different is that from the photos I shared on my weight loss journey week 1? How much more shapely do I look? How much healthier? I’m so proud of myself!
This morning I dug out some size 14 bottoms while I was trying to figure out what to wear, and they fitted! I used to wear size 20-22, and I’m still kind of struggling to get my head around not being that size anymore. It’s odd gradually being able to wear my old clothes, clothes I’ve loved wearing in the past, but it’s so wonderful.
Weight Loss successes:
- Feeling healthier.
- Looking healthier.
- Motivated to get back on the exercise bike this coming week.
- Wearing some size 14 bottoms, down from size 20-22!
- Really enjoying my healthy breakfasts.
