The morning was dog agility training which went well, TiLi is improving and did half a great, speedy, weave before she overshot and missed a pole. Otherwise she was on form, I think she enjoys the hot days, as long as it’s not too hot…!
After lunch the parents and I headed to Fougeres, our local small city, for some Pokehunting! Before we went Mum downloaded Pokemon Go to her phone too, and I did a bit of tethering research! Fortunately, in the end, she didn’t run out of her own data so all was well!
When we arrived in Fougeres and parked up a lesson was required on how to actually use Pokemon Go. Mum had caught a Pidgey on my phone the other day, but otherwise has zero Poke-knowledge, so I explained Pokestops, Gyms and lures before we set off on our hunt.
And then we were off! I had a couple of eggs to walk off and Step-Dad was armed with his camera to keep him occupied. Mum struggled with keeping the screen on while looking for Pokestops and walking initially, but soon she was getting the hang of spinning those Pokestops and hurling balls at Pokemon left, right and centre!
She’s already amassed a large collection of Pokemon and has shot up from nothing to level 6 in one afternoon! I, on the other hand, have finally reached the dizzy heights of level 12!
My first new Pokemon of the day came in the form of an evolution. Yes, I am evolving before I hit level 20! Watch me break the ‘rules’! So I added a Flareon to my Pokedex. Next up a tough Fearow appeared and was made mine. Then a Jynx, which I was pretty thrilled to see, even though it was only CP 172. I also added a Koffing, Psyduck and Jigglypuff to my crew.
I topped up my Pokeball stash thanks to all the Pokestops around Fougeres, and then I topped up my belly with two delicious balls of ice cream at a cafe in front of the chateau.
I hit my Fitbit step goal easily today thanks to all that walking and had a really enjoyable day in the sunshine.
In fact, it’s been a pretty good week, despite an emotionally rough therapy session on Friday I’m doing well and feeling good.
