Fire elf

Warmth

Fire elfOutside is foggy, damp and grim,
So light the fire and let the warmth in.

Outside is raining, wet and cold,
But a roaring fire will warm bones old.

Outside is chilly, wrap up warm,
Stay inside, hide from the storm.

Outside is icy, perfect for skates,
Lock the doors and close the gates.

Outside is snowing, a blanket of white,
Watch it fall late into the night.

Outside it’s winter, for many months yet,
Keep warm inside and try not to fret.

Love the structure of this, going from cold to warm. My favourite part of winter is getting cosy inside!
