After my last word of the week, Interbellum, I am glad to say that this week’s word has to be ‘relax.’
Our final guests of the year flew home last Sunday, and now I can relax once more and get back into a routine.
I feel much more energised in general now, despite struggling to get up in the mornings at the moment, and am enjoying the quiet and the fact we can just chill at home.
There is a down side to this though, my relaxed attitude is seeing me munch on chocolate (mmm Malteasers!) again, and snack on crisps. I’m pretty sure my weight loss journey will see a gain when I weigh in on Monday, but I think I really needed a week off, I really felt that I needed a break this week. Of course I don’t want to gain, but at the same time I know I needed the rest, the ability to just enjoy food and not feel restricted. I’ve been pretty focused on my weight loss for 13 weeks, I deserve some time off!
So yes, this week has been mostly relaxing. I’ve still gone to agility training with the pooches and played referee as the cat and dogs get to know each other, but overall it’s been a week to recuperate and feel less pressured to paint on that smile and be social.
What word encapsulates your week?
