Smiles

selfieThis is the smile of pride,
It says, “I am succeeding, I am changing, I am proud.”

This is the smile of excitement,
It says, “I am moving forward into a new stage of my life.”

This is the smile of strength,
It says, “I can do this, I got this, I’m good.”

This is the smile of joy,
It says, “I am happy, in this moment, I feel at peace.”

All these smiles are brought to you by my reduction in medication and, hopefully a change in my life.

Normally I would have seen this positive, happy prompt and ignored it, not believing I could feel, let alone write, anything along those lines. But right now I feel good, happy, smiley. This is new for me, to feel empowered and truly in a good place, and I wanted to share with you guys.

I also want to thank you for being there through all the depressing and moaning posts, I know this wont be the end of them, but hopefully there will be far more positive from now on.

So here’s to more smiles; the real kind, not the painted on ones. Here’s to true happiness and the start of a new life.

Ah yes, here’s to real smiles indeed. The painted ones are much harder work to create.

You’re right, this won’t be the end to the sad posts, because life is full of every emotion. Still, “happy” is a wonderful thing, and should be celebrated! Your smile is beautiful, and it is lovely to see it on your face again. 🙂
