Weather wise, May has been a bit odd, at least it has here. It’s been so mixed, which I wasn’t really expecting after we had such a glorious April. Due to the rain the grass has been growing stupidly fast, and the flowers are no doubt a bit confused, but our garden is still looking rather pretty this month.
Kudos to my parents who have been working very hard in the garden to make it look so lovely. I do wonder where the green-fingered gene got to though, because my plant skills are limited to killing them by looking at them!
First up this month is Rosie’s Rose. We planted this rose in memory of our little dog, Rosie, she was such a good dog, no trouble at all apart from being a bit of a food thief as a pup! She was my Gran’s faithful companion, snuggling with her on her chair all day and keeping her entertained.
This is one of my favourite snaps this month, purely because of the colour! I, as usual, have no idea what kind of plant this is, but it looks very pretty to me!
Here’s another shot of it with some lovely purple flowers in the background too.
And finally, those purple flowers again but with a lovely, mossy wall in front of them. There’s something gorgeous about a mossy wall in my opinion.
