Dear So & So: Dating

Dear 29 year old virgin,

Firstly, it’s probably not wise to send messages to women telling them that you’re a virgin right up front, it’s a bit off putting. Secondly, when they reply, purposely ignoring that part of your message, it’s probably not a good plan to tell them you want to experience ‘the pleasures of the flesh.’

It might be time to rethink your dating strategy.

Good luck,
Disheartened online dater.

Dear People on dating websites,

I am not interested in your small penis, nor am I ‘uptight’ for not wanting sex on a first date! I am looking for love, a long-term, serious relationship, and I am completely upfront about that fact.

Please cease and desist with your messages when you only want me for a fling.

That chick with the profile you haven’t read.

Dear Me,

Don’t be disheartened by the fact all anyone seems to want nowadays is sex. Keep looking. ‘The one’ is out there, and they’re probably wondering where the hell you are too.

Lots of love,
Dear So and So at Mummy from the Heart

  1. Boo Roo and Tigger Too

I have been watching the First Dates series on TV recently and the world of dating is like a completely different world to the one I remember. I hope you manage to find someone who has read your profile and isn’t just interested in a bit of nooky

  2. Julie

There are definitely some bad eggs out there, but I really like your last letter to remind yourself that the one is out there as well. Hope you find him soon!

  3. Karen Bell

I know exactly what you mean, but I’d like to say, I went through everything you described, then I had the best date of my life exactly 12 years ago last week and we have now been happily married for 8 years. It can be difficult wading through all those online daters who are only after one thing etc, but there are some nice ones out there too, stick with it, it was the best thing I ever did! x

Oh that’s fabulous, thank you for sharing that with me, it gives me hope to keep waiting and putting in the time trawling dating sites!

  4. liska @NewMumOnline

I hope you find a better dating site. I know many marriages started in that way. But equally you can meet Mr right in the strangest of places. Set your intentions, and project, from your very being that you are ready and waiting to meet the one, and he’ll appear. Sorry you’re experiencing these time wasters.

    1. Mrs TeePot

Sadly I’m on a fair few dating sites and they all seem the same! I evidently just attract the wrong type of person.
Will keep on hanging on though, hopefully the right person will arrive soon!
      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  5. Hannah

Don’t give up indeed 🙂 perhaps you are looking in the wrong place! X

    1. Mrs TeePot

Maybe, I don’t know where else to look though! lol!
