word of the week

Home

I always struggle to take part in Word of the Week, mainly because picking one word, especially one that isn’t negative or boring, every week is hard work!

This week though, this week is special, this week I amĀ home.

I’m currently shopping myself silly in the UK with my mum, as well as visiting a few family members and friends of course. But most importantly I am home, in the country I grew up in, understanding the conversations going on, the cultural etiquette (mostly) and smiling.

Expat life can be hard, especially when you’re not an expat by choice, so breaks to the UK for me are a welcome relief, a little sanity in my world, a time to indulge in feeling happy and contented.

Maybe I’ll see you next week for another word of the week!

I’m glad you’re enjoying your time at home. I don’t know what “home” really means to me, that would be a hard one.
