On our way home from Orléans we stopped off at Blois to see the Château and have a meal to save us having to cook when we finally got home.
Inside Blois Château you are allowed to sit on a throne, my mum leapt at the chance of course!
The Château at Blois is nowhere near the size of Chambord so I was a little disappointed by it, but I was also tired from the busy weekend.
It was very grand inside, with lots of different things on display from beds and chairs to paintings and busts. The visit is well planned out with arrows to guide you around so that you see everything there is to see.
If you happen to be in the Blois area and are interested in Châteaux then definitely pop in, but it’s not really a visit for children (in my opinion) and, with it being so close to Chambord, I’d prefer to go the extra distance to see the Château there.
Of course it depends what you’re in to and for some Blois will be an exciting and interesting place to visit, but personally, I was ready to just get home!
