Most of you already know I lost my Dad to cancer. I was a teenager at the time, he had fought it for many years and it took me a long time to come to terms with his loss.
Anyway, today I’m writing because cancer touches other peoples’ lives too. It destroys families, it is an evil illness and it needs to be beaten. Today I am writing because Emma’s Army needs you!
Emma is a blogger also known as “radioactive mum”, she has fought cancer and now is raising money to try to beat it. Her plan is to walk The Cotswold Way, 104 miles, and she needs other people to go with her, and of course, she needs sponsors. You can find the route plan here.
If you are interested in taking part, by blogging about Emma’s Army Against Cancer, by walking with her (you don’t have to do the whole walk, you can do any of the 10 days she will be walking for) or by sponsoring her please pop over to the Emma’s Army page for more information.
Obviously I can’t do the walk, living in France makes that kinda difficult, but I wanted to take part in some way, and I hope that by telling you guys all about it you’ll consider taking part and making this the huge success that it deserves to be.
The money raised will all go to Cancer Research UK and hopefully soon we will soon see an end to the pain and suffering that cancer causes.
