The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared – Jonas Jonasson

100 year old man

The Hundred Year Old Man… is like a whole host of short stories in one. The main plot sees a 100 year old man escape from his old people’s home and go on the run, making friends along the way. But in amongst it all we discover his whole life story; and what a life he’s had!

The book is well written and funny, the characters are completely wacky, like the entire story, and it kept me reading, even though at times it felt a tad too long.

It’s definitely a light hearted read, one for giggles and I don’t normally go in for that kind of book so the fact it kept me going says a lot.

Overall I’d give it 4/5 teepots

I’m currently reading this, although I’m only managing about 2-3 kindle pages a night before I get too tired to continue so it may take me a while to finish. Loving the style it’s written in though.

I hope you continue to enjoy it. I’m a slow reader so it took me a while but I really enjoyed it
