A political poem

Basking in warmth while others may freeze,
Ignoring their plight while they’re on bended knees.
Watching them suffer, not hearing their pleas.
How can they sleep, those wicked Tories?

Forcing sick and disabled to head out to work,
Telling any that don’t “your responsibilities you shirk.”
No care for the people, no thought behind your smirk,
Blissfully unawares we all think you’re a berk.

We know there is trouble, the economy’s weak,
We know things must change, not just minor tweaks,
But know this; there are people dying this week
Because of your ideas and decisions their future was bleak.

So change your plans, change your course or I fear we will see
More riots and uprisings, after you they will be.
Please learn to represent the real “he” and “she,”
Or you’ll just be remembered as an evil Tory.
