Sacre Coeur and Party Time!

Today’s agenda was a trip to the Sacre Coeur, some shopping, a super quick stop at the Moulin Rouge and then a party!

So off we went to Montmartre to see the Sacre Coeur, we had lunch in the Piano Bar, real name La Pétaudiere, which I would highly recommend despite my soup being only warmish, everyone else’s was piping hot. The restaurant has live piano music while you eat which is lovely and a really great atmosphere so if you get the chance it’s worth checking out, the food’s good too!

With full bellies we toddled round, through all the artists, to the Sacre Coeur where I was coerced into sitting for a cartoon drawing by Dino who thought I was very hot! (I’m beating men off with sticks at the moment!!!) I ended up buying the drawing at a discounted rate, 70euros I was not paying! On the walk down to the shopping area I was accosted a couple more times and called Lady Gaga, I’m not sure whether that’s a compliment or not! It seems if I lived in Paris I’d have no shortage of admirers!

Post outing we celebrated our friends and companion traveler’s wedding anniversary with wine, food, an Abba/Christmas sing-a-long and a mini Paris quiz!
